Most custom builders design from the plans out. We design from the calendar out: peak weeks at the lake, shoulder seasons, family weekends, and the listing photos that actually book.
That does not mean a house that looks like a hotel. It means generous gathering rooms, finishes that photograph and wear well, outdoor living that earns its cost, and a property that still feels like yours when you walk in on a Friday night.
You will not be passed to a rotating sales representative. The founders who talk through the lot with you are the same people accountable for the build, from the first site visit through warranty follow-up.

Jon Bell and Joseph Knupp founded Cabine Custom Homes in 2020, after nearly 15 years of working together on real estate, renovation, construction, and development around Deep Creek Lake. We are based at 2 Vacation Way, McHenry, MD 21541 and build only at the lake. 20 of our 36 completed homes include an indoor pool.
