Owner-operators

We do not just build vacation homes. We own and operate them.

That is the difference. Cabine Custom Homes is run by experienced developers who also own and operate vacation properties. Every plan is filtered through two questions: how does this live when you are here — and how does it earn when you are not?

The result is not a stripped rental unit. It is a high-end home with the glamour, gathering space, and finish that owners want — designed so the Deep Creek Lake market can actually support it.

How it works

A direct path from inquiry to a finished home.

Every project begins with the land. From there, one team organizes the design, financing, permits, and construction around a single plan.

Full process
  1. 01

    Land and site

Every project begins with the land. We review the lot, access, slope, utilities, septic and well considerations, views, and local requirements before committing to a home design.

  2. 02

    Design and budget

Start with a Cabine design, explore the Lindal collection, or develop a fully custom plan. Then we shape the features, including an indoor pool, and a preliminary budget around your site.

  3. 03

    Financing and preconstruction

We coordinate what your construction lender and project team need while plans, engineering, selections, permits, and the construction scope are completed.

  4. 04

    Construction

Cabine manages the work from site preparation through the final walkthrough, with a dedicated point of contact and regular updates throughout the build.

What our clients say

CM

We live in Northern Virginia and wanted a house we would actually keep — not a stripped rental. Cabine designed both. Peak weeks book. January still feels like ours.

Joseph handled the estimate himself, on a call while we were still in D.C. Two weeks later we had a clear picture of the lot, the budget, and how the house would live as a vacation home.

Most builders talk about finish. These people talk about how a lake house works when it is full, how it photographs, and how it wears. That is why we hired them.

We were driving in from Baltimore on weekends and needed someone who already understood the rental calendar. Cabine did. The house looks like ours and still books.

No sales floor. Joseph walked the lot with us, then followed up with a clear number. That is the whole reason we stayed with them through the build.

The pool, the roof, and the house were specified as one project. You can feel it. Nothing looks added on after the fact.
